Apply pure safflower oil morning or evening to your face and eye area to tone and soften your skin. And in the evening as a nourishing, makeup-removing oil. Start the day gently, end it gently!
The skin is soft and supple.
It has good antioxidant properties for the skin as well as the hair bulbs, and will help fight free radicals (responsible for aging skin and hair bubbles).
The Greatest Safflower Pure Oil is for you if:
- You like simple products that are easy to use and don't leave a greasy film
- You have sensitive skin, or acne-prone skin
- You're looking for a product made in France, because it's important to you!
Suggestion #1: to light up your hair mask with pure castor oil
A simple recipe to get a pre-shampoo mask for fine hair and all those who find castor oil too thick!
Mix:
- one teaspoon of pure safflower oil
- one tablespoon of pure castor oil
- 5 drops of pure ylang-ylang essential oil, for scent and to give suppleness and shine à your hair
Apply the mixture to your hair, from the scalp by massaging with your fingertips, to the ends.
Wait a minimum of one hour and do your usual shampoo!
Suggestion n°2: Use in Makeup Oil
Safflower oil is very simple to use as a makeup oil: since it is suitable for sensitive skin, you don't have to worry about anything. And it will even remove waterproof makeup, while nourishing your skin: perfect before bedtime!
Suggestion n°3: Use as a Dark Circle Remover
Safflower oil helps your skin plump up thanks to its soft properties. It is a very good anti-dark circle oil, suitable for pregnant and nursing women.
Mix in a small container:
- one tablespoon of cooking safflower oil
- two tablespoons of moringa oil
- two tablespoons of baobab oil
Apply in light circular motions under the eyes. We advise you not to add essential oils for this treatment precisely because of the proximity of the eyes, which could allow the most volatile compounds of the essential oil to freeze you and irritate the eyes.
Suggestion n°4: Rosacea & couperose care
Mix in a container:
- one tablespoon of safflower oil
- one tablespoon of hemp-oil-virgin
- one tablespoon of virgin-calophyl oil
- 3 drops of palmarosa essential oil
- 3 drops of geranium bourbon essential oil
Apply to the affected area every other day until the rosacea disappears.
Rosacea is characterized by redness, burning sensations or pimple-like manifestations that break out in attacks. A second possible recipe is this:
Mix in a container:
- two tablespoons of moringa oil

- one tablespoon of virgin calophylla oil
- 3 drops of bourbon géa essential oil
This disease is quite common which is becoming more and more severe if not treated. It is therefore important to find natural solutions to fight it, and consult if the situation worsens. It is a disease very disabling for self-esteem, because people who do suffer first of all their own vision of themselves, a less attractive skin, and the red color that conveys a poor control of emotions or even reminds the acne.
The indications, advice and information gathered on safflower oil come from websites, reference books in aromatherapy, and our experience and expertise.
The oldest attested use of safflower oil is said to date back to ancient Egypt and the entire Near East region. It was then called false saffron, or Safflower of the dyers, or saffron bâtard.
In Western Europe it has been used as a food oil, very good raw, in salads, for its essential fatty acid content. Like hemp oil and camelina oil, the use of safflower oil was lost in the 19th and 20th centuries. Now it is coming back, on the one hand for the industry, on the other hand in organic farms, because it is a plant that associates very well with legumes, in the case of James lentils and chickpeas. And so we rediscovered a nourishing oil, so simple to use, that nourishes your skin, your hair, the kind of little tricks that are so good to have back!"
It is indeed the seed that will be pressed in the case of safflower, pressed cold. The other parts of the plant are very hard, it is actually amazing to see a safflower field before harvest, because the plants are very rigid and dry, with many spines.
.This oil is also used in food, and then it has a light nutty taste, but it should only be consumed in small quantities and with caution because of its purgative properties. It is moreover for this reason advised to people undergoing surgery in ingestion.
.Mollient properties
When applied topically to your face or hair, safflower oil makes it softer. So here's to soothing or anti-inflammatory swabs applied directly to the skin.
A very gentle composition and its virtues
Safflower oil has a composition very rich in omega (6 and 9 more particularly). The vitamin E quite present is also a marker of important antioxidant virtues of this oil, and it possesses a good content of vitamin K.
Safflower oil is a good source of vitamin K.
This composition gives it its soothing, nourishing, and anti-inflammatory action by local application. There are almost no specific precautions for use with this oil: only the recommendations for use on not letting it in the hands of children or getting it in the eyes, as the virgin oils are slightly acidic products.
Linoleic acid, present in significant amounts in this pure oil limits the skin's water loss and strengthens the hydrolipidic film (the protective film) naturally. Particularly suited to mature skin but suitable for all skin types, it aids in cellular regeneration.

Your questions about safflower oil and its benefits
Safflower oil has very interesting soft properties for hair, meaning that it retains water in the hair fiber and naturally sheathes it.
There are two ways to use safflower oil:
- As a mask: you can apply this oil on your lengths and ends, on your scalp, and let it sit for 30 minutes. If you have the opportunity, it is also possible to leave it on overnight. When the mask has had time to work, do your usual shampoo and rinse with cool water to tighten the hair's scales and make it even more gainful.
- As an express treatment: the mask is a great way to get your hair back into shape.- As an express treatment: simply place a few drops (3 à 4 no more) in the palm of your hand and run your hands over your lengths and ends. Safflower oil is a dry oil: it penetrates the skin and hair very quickly, leaving them shiny and organized. In case of brittle split ends for example, it is a great ally.

It is often used orally or on the skin. Since the cosmetic and food regulations are so different, we cannot label our products for both uses and therefore advise you for this one a purely cosmetic use.
You can apply the safflower oil (first cold pressed of course) directly on the face, as a night care before going to bed to nourish the skin, or as a soothing oil in the evening on the area subject to redness or inflammation.
Safflower oil can be stored away from wide temperature variations. Our bottles are transparent to show our oil in its beautiful golden color, but we produce very often with short cycles, so we have allowed ourselves this option to keep our oils in transparent, not tinted, glass bottles. You can keep this oil in a closet away from light or even in your fridge for the more scholastic among you, away from heat.
It has a fairly discreet smell. If you concentrate, you can notice a characteristic smell that is slightly satiny and slightly floury, a bit like organic sunflower (not refined, as refined oils lose their natural smell).
It is mostly found in the southwest of France, more rarely in the southeast or in Burgundy (as with our producer Emmanuel, for example!)
